How big are the boards?
Board A is 3.75 × 8 in, our smallest, about the size of a long envelope. Board B is 4 × 8 in, in cloud and oval shapes. Board C is 5 × 8 in, about the size of a paperback book. Board D is 5.75 × 10.5 in, our largest, about the size of a hardcover book. Every board page has a size drawing.
How long is the name allowed to be?
Up to 12 letters, and spaces don't count. 7 letters are included, then $2 for each extra letter. Long names have more room on Board C and D.
How do I hang it?
Use a small nail or a picture hanging strip on the back. Hang it high enough that little hands can't reach.
What is it made of?
Painted wood. Each letter and character is its own wooden piece that we attach to the board by hand.
How do I care for it?
Wipe it gently with a dry, soft cloth. Keep it away from water and direct heat.
Is it a toy?
No. Decorative wall piece. Not a toy. Small parts, so keep it away from children under 3.
How long does it take?
We make every board by hand and ship it within 1 to 3 business days. It goes by USPS Ground Advantage and usually arrives within 5 business days after that. You see the ship date and the usual arrival date before you pay.
Can I order for brothers and sisters?
Yes. Put several boards in one order, each with its own name. Up to 3 boards fit in one box for one $11 shipping price.
Can I send it as a gift?
Yes. Add their address when you pay, and we ship it straight to them. We never put prices in the box.
Can I add a gift message?
Yes. Write up to 300 characters in your cart and we'll add it on a card in the box. Ordering boards for more than one child? You can write a separate card for each board.
I'm sending boards to two homes. How does that work?
Each order ships to one address. Place a separate order for each home, with $11 shipping each.
I need it by a certain date.
Pick a Needed by date in your cart and we show you right away whether it usually arrives in time. We'll do our best, but we can't promise a date.
I'm not sure how the child spells their name.
Please check with the family first. We build the name exactly as you confirm it. If you spot a typo after you pay, reply to your confirmation email within 24 hours and we'll fix it before we start.
Can you make something special?
Ask us. A longer name, a character we don't show, a different color: email us and we'll tell you honestly what we can do.
